The St. Regis Resort in Bahia Beach, Puerto Rico is located at the northeastern part of the island, a short distance from El Yunque National Forest, and is surrounded by 5,000 acres of the Espíritu Santo River State Preserve. The resort is a 30 minute drive from the airport and from Old San Juan. The grounds are a natural beauty that feature a plant nursery, wildlife conservation, a nature center, and the Soul of Bahia Environmental Outreach Program.
The resort offers 24 hour valet parking, limo services, and a heliport for its guests. The 24 hour concierge is available for all of your needs and the staff is multilingual. The service was outstanding, very well trained, polite, and friendly.
Each room is large and spacious and offers remarkable view of the nature preserve, golf course, gardens, or the Atlantic Ocean. The luxurious suites offer even more space with a living room, bedroom(s), walk-in closet, mini-bar, mini refrigerator, and two large bathrooms. Butler service in the suites is an added amenity. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included for all accommodations.
The cuisine is not only excellent, but plentiful with several restaurants to choose from. Fern is a signature Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant that’s a sophisticated place with a Caribbean feel. The décor is inspired by a mix of Latin and Afro-Caribbean culture. It’s open for breakfast and dinner. Dress code for breakfast is resort casual and dinner is resort elegant. The menu offers a wide-ranging variety of appetizers, entrees, and a tasting menu with wine pairing. Molasses is a peaceful restaurant at the Beach Golf Club House for a casual lunch for golfers or a chic dining experience. Lunch and dinner can be served on the terrace or inside the main dining room. Lunch is golf attire or island smart causal, and dinner is island smart casual. The food is a combination of local and traditional with a creative twist. Sea Grapes is a modern outdoor dining area with an open-air brick pizza oven. The menu has a little bit of everything. The restaurant also offers food and drinks for those sitting by the pool and beach. The bar is open from 11am-7pm offering the hotel’s specialty organic cocktails or taste Puerto Rico’s premium rums. Each Saturday night the guests are invited for fire pit nights with s’mores and storytelling. Great fun for all! Dress code is beach attire for lunchtime and island smart casual for dinner.
The resort offers a wide selection of things to do. The beach spreads for 2 miles where guests will receive towels, comfortable lounge chairs, and umbrellas. For those who want some privacy the cabanas are available for rental for half or full day. The aquatic center offers paddle boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing and fishing. There is also an outdoor hot tub, putting green, driving range, athletic club, jogging path, tennis center, and Robert Trent Jones Jr 18 hole golf course. For spa lovers the Remède Spa offers an assortment of facials, body treatments, massages, and more. If you’re vacationing with the family the resort has a babysitting service, kids club, and playground. If you’re an adventure seeker the El Yunque Rainforest offers zip lining or if you want to shop there are plenty of stores nearby.
